Parent/Child Fishing Day
Introducing Your Child to Fishing

at the Cape Coral Yacht Club*
Saturday, October 4, 2008 from 9 – 11 am

Here is a great opportunity to introduce your child to fishing.  Captain George Howell will place emphasis on keeping things simple, fun, and productive in a hobby that often requires lots of patience.  Kids will learn the equipment including rods, reels, knots, rigging gear as well as handling fish and bait, and problem solving.   No experience necessary. 
Following the seminar, Captain George invites attendees to bring their fishing gear for an hour of fishing from the Yacht Club fishing pier.  He will be glad to help you get started at this time, providing hands on advice for your particular needs.

Near Shore Fishing / Offshore Style
Fishing for Boats of All Sizes

Southwest Florida is home to many wrecks and artificial reefs.  Most are only a short boat ride from the beach.  Captain George Howell tells all in this seminar on near shore fishing.  Bottom fishing with live and cut bait as well as trolling and sight fishing.  Close to 100 GPS coordinates for reefs and wrecks in Lee County alone!  You don’t have to have a large offshore style boat, or spend hundreds in gas to get the offshore experience.  Captain George discusses targeting different species, from snapper to sharks.  Don’t miss out; this is a seminar for all anglers!
